And the Music Festivals Keep on Coming... Again with the Top-Notch Lineups

Kick off your summer with a brand new festival, Boston Calling, bringing a sick lineup  to the city on Memorial Day weekend. The Cincinnati rock band, The National, and New York’s indie pop band, Fun., will be headlining this two-day outdoor festival (May 25-26) at the City Hall Plaza. Boston is pumped and so are we. The fresh Boston fest is already desirable with their killer headliners, but it doesn’t stop there—they’ve got a sweet lineup with bands including the Shins, Cults, Matt & Kim, Ra Ra Riot, Andrew Bird, and The Dirty Projectors. The fan base is wide and the tickets hot…when can I get mine?

Aaron Dessner helped curate this festival, and keeping it in the family, his brother, Bryce Dessner, founded MusicNOW festival in Cincinnati. Another stellar lineup - playing some different types of tunes, will be taking the stage in April, with Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry, Glen Hansard, and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus.

Thanks to the brother duo of The National, my spring/summer to-do list is filled with quite the range of music. I just made a piggy bank labeled "Festivals" I come! Hopefully I’ll see you there. Get your tickets March 1st!
