Beyond Unison Spring Concert Preview

Guess what’s one of the biggest events this weekend?  It’s Beyond Unison’s Spring Concert! The co-ed a cappella group has an awesome set lined up and bringing their signature wall-of-sound with two new members from this semester, Alli Aaron (’16) and Sam Ingram (’16). The concert also is the last for six seniors which are graduating: Annie Schulenburg, Kelli Bruno, Allison Benoit, Devon Mercer, Nate Fanzone, and Greg Thomas. All of the seniors will be featured in the concert with songs like Ingrid Michaelson’s The Chain, Sara Bareilles’ King of Anything, and Mumford and Sons’ The Cave and more!

I had the chance to catch an interview Matthew Micco (’12) of Beyond Unison and get some of his thoughts on the cBU Spring Concert 2013oncert:

“The lineup of songs is going to be really exciting. We're featuring the typical Beyond Unison artists like Ingrid [Michaelson] and Mumford [and Sons], but this concert will have some hip hop, and even a show tune. It'll be great.

The Spring Concert is always great because of the amazing BU Tradition of Senior Songs. It's going to be great to premier new songs, but singing old favorites always makes the concert feel special. Being a graduate of 2012, I am absolutely thrilled to have so many alumni coming back. We'll have alumni from as far back as 2009 at the concert!

Come to the Concert! You don't want to be one of those people that won't be able to talk about it on Monday. Trust me!”

The concert is this Saturday, April 27, at Bucknell Hall at 1:30PM. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased online, at the Box Office in the Weis Center, at the CAP Center, or at the door.

Hope to see you all there! Take a study break from upcoming finals and hear some awesome music- I think that’s something we can all do easily enough!
