Elias Strizower picks “All Of Me (Tiesto Remix)” by John Legend

Not only is the original song by John Legend fantastic, but this remix helps the song shine as a great dance track. This past weekend at Electric Daisy Carnival New York, it was easily one of the most played songs in the entire festival, and one of the highlights of Tiesto's closing set.

Andrew Kilman likes "Artifice" by SOHN

I saw a fellow Campus Vinyl member listening to this band on Spotify, and wow they are great. They are very relaxing to listen to and smooth as butter. So smooth in fact, I can't believe it's not butter ok thx bye.

Jen Lassen chooses KONGOS, "Come With Me Now" by KONGOS

KONGOS is on the rise, and their single "Come With Me Now" is the perfect summer track. The fast tempo and awesome beat will definitely keep the energy up at any summer BBQ or pool party.

Jason Hammet suggests "Glosoli" by Sigur Ros.

To me, this song is a powerful expression of innocence and hope. As summer begins, adventures beckon.

Avid Khorramian is loving “I Wanna Get Better” by Bleachers

I am by no means the number one fan of the band Fun. However, when Lena Dunham posted an Instagram about her boyfriend, who just so happens to be Fun’s guitarist, Jack Antonoff’s first single with his solo project, I was intrigued. After hearing “I Wanna Get Better” only once, I fell in love with the song, and I was sure both it and Bleachers would make it big. It has only been a few months, but the song has already made its way onto the radio and Bleachers is playing at numerous festivals like Governors Ball, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza. Definitely my feel good song of the summer!

Tom Bonan likes "Lodi" by Creedence Clearwater Revival

“Lodi” might be the best song written by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It tells the story of a musician stuck in the small farm-town of Lodi in central California without any money to get home after playing a gig. It perfectly captures the transient life that everyone wishes to adopt in the summer, and is a great listen for anyone dreaming that they were spending carefree days out in California.

Connor Small digs "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" by Will Smith

On your mark, get set, go! This classic is my go to song to kick-off any summer barbecue, beach party or Super Saturday for those of you who are on campus for the summer. 1997 was easily the most important year for music ever, just like how every outfit Will Smith wears in the video was important for current-day fashion.

Louise Peterson is loving “Fall in Love” by Phantogram

This month I’ve been working in China and I’m hearing this song all the time in the expat bars. People around the world are enjoying this song, so that must say something.

Joe Tull is enjoying ”Best Friend" by Foster the People

This song has an incredibly upbeat sound with a fun funky feel and the occasional horn section that will make you want to bust a move or at least bob your head! It is the seventh track off the band's album Supermodel, which was released in March 2014.

Nick Bartek picks “Dogheart II” by The Growlers

With the cool breezes and high temperatures ushering in the arrival of summer, I've been jamming to a lot surf and beach music. Although these genres of music aren't as popular on the East coast as I hail from Wallingford, CT, a buddy back home recommended this tune to me and I've been digging it ever since.

Morgan Klein suggests “Runaround Sue” by G-Eazy

This song has never failed to make a sunny day even better, or become an instant beach-trip favorite to anyone lucky enough to be riding along with me.  Play it as loud as you deem sufficient for maximum fun, get some sunscreen on and enjoy the sunshine this June.

Marcus Shenck chooses "Rude" by MAGIC!

Be warned, this is that song that isn't going to leave your head the entire summer and I mean that in the absolute best way. With a laid-back reggae pop sound, MAGIC! creates such a catchy and memorable melody that you won't be able to help but jam out to it while you're cruising with the windows down or taking a stroll down the boardwalk with your friends.

Ian Colley is loving “Sixth Sense” by Kiss Kiss

Kiss Kiss, a talented and short-lived band to come out of SUNY Purchase, offers delightfully dark and intelligent music.  I was first introduced to them at the start of summer, and so I am reminded of this song--which speaks of sensory/memory associations--as the season changes.  Sixth Sense prominently features an electric violin, a sound that is highly characteristic of the band and which adds an orchestral feel to an otherwise typical Indie setup.  Also characteristic of Kiss Kiss is tampering with rhythmic convention; note the unexpected switches from 4/4 to 5/4 in between marveling at the violin's melodic lines.

Laura Yoo likes “Down on Life” by Elliphant

Elliphant's soothing, raspy vocals flawlessly seam their way through moombathon beats, creating a perfect kick-back summer jam.
