If you’re feeling like you missed out a bit, culturally, on this past St. Patrick’s day --in other words, Shipping Off To Boston just was not doing it for you-- you can get your fill of authentic Irish music this week.  This Wednesday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. the Dublin Guitar Quartet will be performing at the Campus Theatre.  Trust me when I say that this is definitely an if-you-miss-it-you’ll-regret-it kind of situation.

The quartet, made up of  Brian Bolger, Patrick Brunnock, David Flynn and Redmond O'Toole specializes in contemporary classical music and employ eight and eleven string guitars of both acoustic and electric variety during performances.

After performing with the quartet in 2008, Philip Glass had this to say about the quartet’s arrangements; “Dave Flynn and Brian Bolger have made these arrangements and they’re really quite beautiful.”  That is coming from a man who is often considered to be one of the most important music makers of the end of the 20th Century.

The performance Wednesday night is FREE and, no doubt, going to be an unforgettable experience.
