[Image source: bucknell.edu] If you’re at all like me, then it is quite likely that you have not yet heard of Raul Midόn. That’s fine; just keep reading. So first things first- who is Raul Midόn? New Mexican native, singer-songwriter and guitarist, Midόn has been making smooth, upbeat, clean, and catchy songs since 1999. With a total of seven full-length albums released thus far, Midόn has also appeared on albums of popular artists such as Jason Mraz, Queen Latifah, and Snoop Dogg. Quite the eclectic group of performers, no? While his sound is incredibly hard to pin-point through words, it is incredibly distinct and unique. Give his collaboration with Jason Mraz, “Keep on Hoping” a listen to get an introductory feel for his style:

Now, if you aren’t in a better mood than you were in before listening to that track, you either forgot to put your headphones on, or it’s possible that music just doesn’t do it for you — and that’s fine — but you’re probably on the wrong site. In addition to performing Raul also has a diverse background in leading and contributing to talks and discussions. Blinded since his birth, Midόn takes pride in being a source of inspiration for anyone who has ever been told that they can’t accomplish something due to physical or mental restrictions.
