Biography

Major: Music and Creative Writing Year: 2013 Hometown: Princeton, New Jersey

Music has always been a major part of my life. I was lucky enough to be surrounded by it growing up, and ever since my mom put her headphones against her stomach and played Mozart for me before I was born, it has been a passion of mine. I grew up playing classical piano, writing my own songs, and listening to the Billy Joel, Beatles, Sheryl Crow, and Billy Holiday CDs playing in my house. I have grown to love all styles of music, past and current, from artists around the world, and I always hope to stumble upon new artists and listen to what they have to share. I am in music groups on campus such as The Offbeats, the Gamelan Ensemble, and I participate in the Bankwet. Music is something I will always crave and find a way to weave into my daily life. I am really happy to be a part of the Campus Vinyl BucknellU community and can’t wait to hear the music our campus has to share!

Interview

736363_4498690148841_1546494720_oIf you could be one musician for a year (past or present) who would you be and why?

I think it’d be cool to try out being Beyonce for a year because everything about her is awesome. It would be a ridiculous experience to see what it’s like to be on stage in front of such a large audience there to support your talents and sing along to all your songs.

..Or any musician who got a chance to participate in Woodstock…I’d like to try that out.

If you were out on a romantic dinner and could only have one song playing the whole time, what would it be?

Harry Nilsson- Without You or Wilco- You and I

What music genre, artist, and/or group do you listen to when you need a good stress relief?

Fleet foxes, Bon Iver, and Wilco

What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?

The Swell Season (made me cry) and Gaslamp Killer (never stopped dancing)

What was the first CD you ever bought?

Probably Brittany spears, Christina Aguilera, or TLC.
