Haim Releases New Single

In 2005, sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim came together in Los Angeles, California to form “Haim” with drummer, Dash Hutton.  Fittingly, they came into the music scene when one of their songs was featured on the soundtrack for the film, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Their sound is slightly folksy, with a hint of R&B for good measure.  The sisters have yet to release a full album, but their recently released single makes its imminent release all the more tantalizing. Haim landscape            “The Wire” is to be the third single off the new album, and although its official release date wasn’t until September 23rd, it has leaked in a big way.  With an infectious beat and catchy melody, it’s an excellent addition to its predecessors, “Don’t Save Me” and “Falling.”  Haim announced that they have, in fact, finished work on their album and will hopefully release it by the end of September.

If you have yet to listen to this band, you need to get on it.  Their crisp, unique voices give each of their songs a signature sound, incorporating just the right amount of harmonies.  With summer still in full swing, the songs of Haim will serve as the perfect accompaniment to any windows-down road trip, or beach lay-out.  Check out a few of their tracks:
