A Review of the Sils

The Silhouettes, Bucknell’s Premiere all-female a cappella group (and also the second oldest!) gave their annual Spring concert at Bucknell Hall on Saturday, April 12th. I am a huge fan of the Silhouettes not only for their genius arrangements, but their attitude and spunk on the stage.

Their zeal and adamancy was certainly visible on Saturday as they sang contemporary hits like “Happy” by Pharrell Williams and one of my personal favorites, “All of Me” by John Legend.

Says one personable onlooker of this spectacle: "I thought the ladies did an absolutely incredible job. Not only did they sound great and I loved their song choices, but they looked like they were truly enjoying themselves, which is so key to a successful performance!"

This is just a great kick start to the spring season of a cappella at Bucknell. The Silhouettes worked hard for their concerts, and if you can’t get enough of them, they are performing on Night Before Finals on Wednesday April 30th.

We can expect the Silhouettes’ talent and expertise to only blossom in the next few years as they have many underclassmen members such as our very own writer, Caroline Carey '16.
