Thought Police To Rock Pub Night This Saturday

Hello Bucknellians, and the greater music community!  Bucknell University’s very own on campus band Thought Police will be playing at Uptown’s Pub Night on this Saturday, April 13th. Thought Police is a band composed of some of Bucknell’s finest sophomore musicians, incuding  Jake Perlmutter (lead vocals, guitar), Andrew Kilman (vocals, guitar), Sam Carey (vocals, guitar, bass), and Ryan Sindelar (drums).

Thought Police had a special beginning as Andrew “Drew” Kilman met Jake Perlmutter during the spring of their freshmen year.   “Yeah… so I met Jake one day through a mutual friend because we’re both into music.  We started casually talking about bands that we both liked and then he asked me if I wanted to jam.”  And jam they did, and thus Thought Polices was formed.  Later the band picked up new member Sam Carey with his multi-talented ability to play bass and guitar for the Band.

Drew tells me, “I really like the way we all mesh together, Jake is a fantastic soloist, and there’s nothing I like more than holding down the rhythm with Sam.”  This stellar combination can be heard in band’s first single “Blackout Bed” on the EP High Places and Hopeful Faces (click links for videos).  For those that go to Bucknell University, Jake tells me that this song was made in spirit of the famous House Party weekend.   Other notable songs include “I’ll Follow You”, and other new ones from the new EP Cobert Sessions including “No I don’t” (my personal favorite -- featured below).
