Weekly Event Breakdown: Week of February 9th, 2014


With the recent blizzard and freezing temps, who wouldn’t want to go to the various on campus events happening this week? CVBU has your back, check ‘em out: As some of you may know, Britain’s world-renowned Fitzwilliam String Quartet is in residence at Bucknell for all of February, how exciting! Their first two concerts were last Wednesday and Friday, but if you missed those don’t fret! They will be holding their next concerts on Sunday, February 9th and Thursday, February 13th at 7:30 p.m. in the Rooke Recital Hall of the Weis Music Building. A really exciting event is coming on Wednesday, February 12th at 7:30 p.m. in the Campus Theater. Its titled Ruthie Foster and Eric Bibb: Thanks for the Joy. Both Grammy nominees and 2012 Blues Music Award winners, Foster and Bib will join forces to celebrate a night of joyful roots music. This is an event you don’t want to miss. These two are extremely talented and it is a free performance so get their early!

Also, on February 15th the Bucknell University Orchestra, conducted by Christopher Para, will be holding a concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center. Come out to support your fellow Bucknellians!
