Weekly Event Breakdown: Week of January 26th


Welcome back, Bucknell! First off, we wanna wish you all a Happy New Year here from the Campus Vinyl team, and we hope you’re all ready for yet another awesome semester. We’ve got a big week ahead on campus, so let’s break it down. This week, there will be plenty of opportunities to support your own Bucknell musicians as well as some non-affiliated performers! First off, this Wednesday, January 29th at 7:30 pm in Bucknell Hall Kate McGarry and Keith Ganz Duo Palooza will be performing as a part of Bucknell’s continuing Jazz at Bucknell series. This power-performing couple is sure to appease any jazz taste you might have with their uniquely elegant and fun performance style. This concert is free and open to the public.

Later in the week, on Friday, Januray 31st, we’ve got a Weis Center performance! At 7:30 pm, the Szymanowski Quartet will be performing various pieces, from Mozart to Mendelssohn. Internationally recognized as a prestigious string quartet, the Szymanowski Quartet will be sure to put on a captivating performance. Tickets for this performance cost $10 for Bucknell students.

Lastly, one of Bucknell’s very own, Joanna Malaszczyk, will be performing her Junior Voice Recital at 7:00 pm in Natalie Davis Rook Recital Hall (SWMB 100). Be sure to stop by and show your support!
