Weekly Event Breakdown: Week of November 3rd


Halloween has come and gone and cold November weather has officially set in at Bucknell.  It’s the perfect time to check out this week’s on campus music events!

The Jazz at Bucknell series will feature Jeremy Siskind’s Finger-Songwriter Project onWednesday, November 6 at 7:30 PM in Bucknell Hall.   The jazz trio will be performing original folk-inspired songs in a concert that is free and open to the public.

On Friday, November 8, classical pianist, Gabriela Martinez, will perform at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 PM.  This performance will feature Rachmaninoff's Moment Musicaux Op 16, No. 1; Brosse's Nocturne No. 1; Barber's Ballade; Bates' White Lies for Lomax; Liszt's Sonet 104; Rachmaninoff's Moment Musicaux Op 16, No. 4; and Beethoven's Piano Sonata Op 110 in A Flat Major.  Admission is $10 for Bucknell students.

The Bucknell Opera Company will present a performance on Saturday, November 9 at 8 PMin the Rooke Recital Hall in the Siegfried Weis Music Building.  Bucknell alumna Amanda Robie ’03 will be directing the recital.  This event is free and open to the public.
