Weekly Event Breakdown: Week of February 24th

This upcoming week is a great week for anyone looking to score some amazing musical performances without having to break the bank.  Bucknell’s campus will be hosting several solo acts, all of which will be free of charge. On Wednesday (Feb. 27th) starting at 7:30 P.M., Irish pianist John O’Conor will be performing a recital in the Natalie Davis Rooke Recital Hall – that’s in the Sigfried Weis Music Building for anyone who might be wondering!  John O’Conor brings a charming and hilarious personality, only outmatched by his talent on the piano.  The recital will be free and open to the public, so feel free to bring anyone along with you.

Friday night (March 1st) is going to be a little busier, with American Idol star Lee DeWyze and Campus Vinyl BucknellU’s very own Jake Perlmutter performing that night!  Lee DeWyze, winner of the ninth season of American Idol, will be playing at Uptown Nightclub at 9 P.M. this Friday night.  With his husky voice and pop-folk sound, you won’t want to miss this rising artist! Check out the video below!

Jake Perlmutter, a journalist here at Campus Vinyl BucknellU, will be performing in 7th Street Café starting at 10 P.M. on Friday night.  Jake Perlmutter is currently in a band that goes by the name of Thought Police. Click Jake's name below for a link to the Thought Police soundcloud.  Boasting a refreshing indie-folk/alternative sound and catchy vocals to match, Perlmutter should definitely be at the top of your Friday night plans!
